Safety Drills
Throughout the year, we will practice Fire Drills and ALICE Drills. All classrooms have a map of the school with directions to exit the building in the event of an emergency.
When we practice a Fire Drill, all students and staff exit the building. We then immediately take a headcount to ensure that we have all students and staff accounted for. There are four Fire Drills throughout the year and they are unannounced. We had our first Fire Drill on Wednesday. All students and staff did an amazing job exiting the building quickly and quietly.
ALICE Drills will be practiced throughout the year to prepare students and staff for emergency situations. Officer Piantedosi meets with classes to educate students on safety and to prepare them for ALICE Drills. We typically have an announced drill at the beginning of the year and an unannounced drill in the spring. We will send out more information about ALICE Drills prior to the drill.
Our safety drills are to prepare students and staff in the event of a real emergency. Our number one goal is to keep all students and staff safe!

NORTHEAST 2024-2025 BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
Please see the following information about Northeast's Back to School Night on Thursday, September 26th from 6:00-7:30pm. This will once again be an Open House format where you can drop in to see teachers and classrooms any time within the time frame. Northeast students are welcome to join their adults to help show them around, however, all students must remain with their adults at all times.
