This Week's Events
Promotions/Graduations
This week MEA is busy celebrating student milestones with Senior Graduation, as well as Kindergarten, 5th, & 8th grade Promotions. Please see the calendar above for important times and locations for these events.
MEA Farmstand
Please join us for our final MEA Farmstand for the school year. Ms. Shannon will be at the front of school on Wednesday, May 29 from 1:30 to 2:30 (immediately following the 5th and 8th grades promotion luncheon).
We will be offering whatever is harvestable from our gardens, including flower arrangements in mason jars. We will also have seed packets and compost bags available —get going on a productive summer garden with these items!
As always, items are offered on a donation basis/“pay how you feel.” The Farmstand accepts cash and PayPal, which goes into our Foundation’s account. All proceeds directly benefit our continued garden production and support for Cleopatra. We appreciate the support!

Signing up consists of coming to school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of a chosen week during the summer to clean the coop, feed and water Cleopatra, and give her some love and attention. Cleopatra still needs care during the summer! All students must be accompanied by an adult. Please fill out the form below if you are interested!

Improving Communications
This year, MEA has implemented a new tool enabling us to send text messages to families, ensuring a secure and rapid means of communication. Initially, this system was exclusively available for communications with parents/guardians. However, for the remainder of the year, MEA will be participating in a test group, extending this communication channel to include students. To facilitate this expansion, we kindly request that students with cell phones complete the following form.

FAFSA Opt Out Form
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or California Dream Act Application (CADAA) determines a pupil’s eligibility for financial aid to assist with a pupil’s attendance at a college or career school. California Education Code (CEC) § 51225.7 requires a local educational agency to confirm each 12th grade pupil’s completion and submission of a FAFSA or CADAA unless the pupil is determined to be exempt or an opt-out form is completed by a pupil who is a legally emancipated minor, a pupil who is 18 years or older, a legal guardian, or parent, or a local educational agency on a pupil’s behalf.
This opt-out form permits a pupil to opt out of the completion of a FAFSA or CADAA form.
