A Note from Ms. Owens

We had a great time at St. Catherine last week; although, there was something going on with the faculty and staff. They wore different clothes most of the week, and on Friday, the adults seemed to forget their water bottles at home! 🤭😉😊 We also had internet challenges throughout the week. Kudos to our teachers, staff and students for persevering through the frustration. Our tech support did quite a bit of work on Friday afternoon/evening as well as over the weekend. They will be at school on Monday to monitor any ongoing issues. We are going to have two outstanding days leading up to Thanksgiving Break!


With the start of the second trimester, grade checks and eligibility will be paused for three weeks. Given the realities of the calendar, we will send out any necessary probation notices on Thursday, December 19 so no one will be ineligible over Christmas Break and students will have ample time to make up any missing work that can still be turned in. The first ineligibility notices of the second trimester will be sent on Thursday, January 9.


A Bit More News...

  • Report cards went home with students on Thursday, November 21. All parents/guardians should review their child(ren)'s report cards, sign the manila envelope the report card came home in and return the signed envelope to school.
  • Order forms for S&T pizza vouchers went home in last week's white envelopes. They are due back to school - along with payment - by Tuesday, December 10. Vouchers will be sent home on Thursday, December 12.
  • SCA's St. Vincent de Paul Society is hosting their annual Toy Drive to support Catholic Charities. Please send your new, unwrapped gift to school with your child. They can place it next to the Giving Tree in the church vestibule. Collections will be accepted through the morning of Monday, December 9.
  • If you're looking for stocking stuffers, consider getting your Charger some SCA socks! Your purchase supports our Charge On Positive Behavior program.
  • FSA's Christmas Charger Apparel Shop is open online through Monday, December 2. All orders will be shipped to homes - not to school.
  • Santa's Secret Shop is coming to SCA after Thanksgiving Break from December 3 - December 6. Teachers have signed up for times for their classes to visit the shop.
  • Registration for FSA's Movie Night with Santa has been closed as the event is full.
