Resources
2) Looking for local 1 or 2 day co-ops, enrichment programs, tutoring & businesses that provide homeschool classes? details here
3) ARE you New to homeschooling or just curious what your "style" is? According to this article "There are 6 main styles: Traditional, Classical, Charlotte Mason, Unit Studies, Unschooling, and Eclectic." Check out this quick quiz to see yours.
4) Are you curious about the implementation of the SB163, the school entry immunization bill, that goes into effect 2021 school year? You can find more information here. The bottom line is there is an exemption for homeschoolers who choose to partially, delay, or change the vaccine schedule so if you attend a private pay program like those listed below then nothing changes. BUT if your student(s) attend any sports or programs funded through the public school then you may be asked for documentation but there are still exemption options available. See the link for more details.
Who we are?
Hope for Homeschoolers is a community of homeschool families whose mission is to support one another through Biblical based encouragement. As many of us have middle &/or high schoolers we survived the little years and our heart is to give back to those younger & seasoned moms through encouraging them through the joys and challenges of homeschooling. Our goal is to encourage and support families by making connections with like-minded families; sharing available resources; and providing mentoring relationships. We also desire to support those considering homeschooling by providing a place to seek information.
To fulfill this mission, Hope for Homeschoolers offers Saturday gatherings the months of Feb, April, June, Aug, & Oct, from 9:30 – 11:30 AM, activity meet-ups, moms nights out and more. These meetings give you the opportunity to hear from veteran homeschoolers and discuss a variety of topics concerning homeschooling. To join our email list & for more information please contact Colleen Sprister Csprister@actonhybrid.com or Csprister@reagan.com
Blessings from our planning team,
