Stories Creek Weekly Reminders
Week of October 20, 2024
PTSO Fall Fundraiser
We are extending our fundraiser deadline to November 6th.
We have officially kicked off our PTSO Fall Fundraiser.
The Stories Creek Elementary fundraiser starts today, and we need your help. Our goal is to raise $10,000.00 for essential programs not currently funded through traditional means.
It's as simple as 1, 2, 3!
- Register NOW at www.ShopFund.com
- Share custom support links with family & friends via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Email, Text and more.
- Student Goal: Minimum of 5 Online Supporters.
The fundraiser runs through Wednesday, October 23rd. Packets are coming home today with your student(s). The online shopping feature is incredibly convenient, and enables friends and family outside of our area to support our school. They can choose to have their orders shipped directly to them! There is also a donation option for those who want to show their support without ordering items.
On behalf of the staff at Stories Creek Elementary, and our PTSO who is sponsoring the fundraiser, we thank you for doing your part to make our fall fundraiser a success!
REGISTER-SHARE-WIN: Sharing gets you coins for chances to win over $100,000 in instant prizes.

Car Line Reminders and Information
Car riders will dismiss at 3pm daily. For the safety of our staff and students, please follow the directions of any staff members helping with car line.
Important Reminders:
-Please remain in your vehicles (with the exception of students who need mobility assistance).
-Please follow the directions of staff members. To keep traffic out of Chub Lake Rd, they will be directing you to move up to specific cones before allowing your child to get in.
-Staff will open the car door for students to enter the vehicle, but they will not be responsible for buckling the student in.
We ask for your patience as the beginning of school year car line runs a little slowly at first. It will move faster once everyone is more familiar with the processes.

Parenting Pointers for School (and Life) Success
With the devastation in Western North Carolina, it has been heavy on my heart how to talk to students about natural disasters and hard times.
While we don't have all the answers, the most important things to remember are:
-Be age appropriate in the discussions.
-Affirm that it is okay to have feelings and emotions about what is happening.
-Brainstorm ways you can help those impacted.
For more age appropriate tips, check out this resource:
As always, if your child is struggling with anything- feel free to reach out to us for support from our School Counselor and/or School Social Worker.
