CEW Sweatshirts
We still have a limited number of CEW sweatshirts in the office. They are $20 each.
HOWEVER, we are waiting a delivery of size small. Once we received those, we will have them on sale for a week at $10 with a limit of one (1) per person. We will notify you when they arrive for sale. We will not sell them in advance.
Red Ribbon Week
This week we celebrate Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign to highlight the importance of living a drug free life. We will be sharing facts about the dangers of using drugs while enjoying celebrating drug free lives! Please encourage your student to participate in our themed dress down days - while adhering to our dress down policy.
If your child is not participating according to the list below, they must be in uniform.

1. We know that kids will eat lots of candy, so try and limit other sugary treats throughout the week.
2. Make sure students have a healthy meal/snack before they go out trick or treating or to events. This will encourage them to eat less sugar as they'll be full of healthy food.
3. Drink lots of water! Water will help keep everything moving and ward off germs.
4. Try to get as much sleep as possible. Excitement has adrenaline pumping so encourage rest to counteract the effects. Get to bed early, turn off electronics and make sure to complete any school work early in the afternoon.
Anti-Bullying Culture
October is a national anti-bullying month, but it takes more than a month or a campaign to create a culture of kindness, acceptance and standing against bullying. How can you help our school create this culture?
1. Model kindness at home. You have the most influence on how your child responds and reacts. If your child expresses anger or frustration towards someone else, encourage them to work through their differences peacefully and with the help of an adult.
2. Apologize when you're wrong. We need to show our children that we all make mistakes.
3. Encourage your child to find alternatives to solving problems that don't include hitting or cursing. These behaviors only escalate the situation.
4. Monitor your child's social media presence. The majority of conflicts in schools stem from social media activity during out of school hours. Make sure you know which apps your child is using, what they are posting, who they are messaging and what they are saying.
5. Encourage your child to be an upstander. Support anyone who is being mistreated, be a role model and leader of kindness!
6. If you hear something, say something. Encourage your child to report any hurtful behavior to their teacher, counselor or administrator. Parents can also report hurtful or bullying behavior so school administrators can help students peacefully problem solve.
