Dear Los Pen Families,
Today we began our beautiful Padres Spirit Wear Day together at a Friday Flag assembly, where we recognized Character Counts awards winners and Running Club top prize winners. We congratulated Ms. Allard's 2nd grade class (NAU) for highest attendance over the last month, as well as Mrs. Scott's Kindergarten Broncos (Cal Poly Pomona) for greatest attendance gain over the last month. If you haven't seen it, this year we have been acknowledging our monthly attendance on our Attendance Counts board, which is great way for students to encourage one another.
Los Pen also has 11 students who have Perfect Attendance for the whole school year!

Vehicles must enter the parking lot by turning right only from Cuca Street, driving toward Carmel Mountain Road. Thank you for your cooperation as we continue to improve the safety of our systems. As an additional reminder, pedestrians should be using the marked crosswalk only. We have an outstanding group of 5th grade students who volunteer their time to serve on our school Safety Patrol to assist pedestrians. They appreciate your patience and kindness. PUSD New Student Enrollment Reminder
Poway Unified New Student Enrollment for the 2025-26 school year opened on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 8:00AM. Please forward this information to families new to the area or our school district. This enrollment period includes new Kindergarten and TK students.
We can’t wait to meet our new families! New Student Enrolment for Poway Unified School District is an online process. Packets are completed digitally using any computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection. Please contact your assigned school of residence to schedule an appointment if you do not have access to a device/internet or need assistance with completing the online enrollment packet.

Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten Lottery Information
If a school reaches near capacity for TK or Kindergarten, a lottery may be needed to determine student placement. To be included in the lottery (if required), families must submit their new student enrollment packets between April 1, 2025, and April 9, 2025, by 11:59 p.m. Only students who enroll during this period will be eligible. If a lottery is necessary at our school, families will be notified. District conducts the lottery for each site.
