End of Quarter Information - Viewing Canvas Courses and Quarter Grades
At the end of each quarter, courses in Canvas will conclude and will no longer be visible on the Canvas app. However, a concluded course remains visible through the Canvas website by selecting ALL COURSES and then PAST ENROLLMENTS.
Important dates for families:
Please note: The dates are subject to change based upon calendar updates or technology needs.
How do I view my child’s report card?
Log in on ParentVue.
Select the student’s name
In the left navigation bar, choose Report Card
Each new quarter, classroom teachers will publish the next quarter’s Canvas course. As courses are published, students and families will again be able to see current courses on the Canvas app and Canvas website. For Canvas parent resources, visit www.bluevalleyk12.org/canvas.
Ruby Bridges
On Nov. 14, students across the country will participate in Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, an annual, commemorative event that honors the courage of Ruby Bridges who made history by becoming the first Black student to integrate an all-white elementary school in New Orleans in 1960. Students across the country now walk to school on this day to commemorate her bravery and continue the important conversation about equality and inclusion. To learn more about Ruby Bridges Walk to School Day, visit https://rubybridges.foundation/. We invite our Stanley families to walk to school on November 14th to participate in this nationwide event.
BV Unmuted
In the latest Blue Valley Schools’ BV Unmuted podcast episode, Dr. Katie Collier, Deputy Superintendent for Learning, is joined by Overland Park Interim Police Chief Simon Happer and Director of Safety and Security Dan Carney to discuss school safety and the importance of understanding threats and their consequences.
To learn more about how families can partner with the district to ensure a safe and secure environment for our students and staff, listen to the podcast: BV Unmuted: Understanding Threats and Their Consequences.
Paying Fees Online
Having trouble paying fees? If so, use a computer, not the ParentVue app. The computer view is much easier to understand and navigate. Please call the office if you need assistance and thank you in advance for keeping balances up to date.
Note from Nurse
There has been an increase in GI illnesses this week with symptoms including vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain that is not necessarily accompanied by a fever. Washing hands with soap and water is the most effective tool in preventing the spread of these illnesses, as hand sanitizer is not always effective in killing these particular germs. As a reminder, students must have NO vomiting or diarrhea for a full 24 hours AND fever free for 24 hours without the use of any medications. As always, thank you for helping to keep our community healthy and safe!
Breakfast
Breakfast is served here at Stanley from 8:00am-8:30am. If you choose to have your child(ren) eat breakfast here at school they must arrive in time as we will stop serving breakfast promptly at 8:30am. Thank you for your attention to this.

'24-'25 Stanley Elementary Yearbook
Believe it or not, it's time to think about the 2024-2025 Stanley Elementary Yearbook.
Stanley Elementary uses TreeRing to create our yearbooks. In order to receive a yearbook, you will have to purchase one through the TreeRing website. Right now, TreeRing is running a 10% off discount until the end of October. To order your student's yearbook, go to TreeRing.com and login or create a TreeRing account. (If you have ordered in the past few years, you should already have a TreeRing account.)
If you have any questions about the yearbook, please feel free to contact Mindy Doyle at mindy.hodson@gmail.com.
