As we step into the 13th week of school, thanks always to our parents that continue to support our school. Please also take a moment to review our shared safety responsibilities to ensure our community remains secure and welcoming for everyone.
We had 3 new facutly members to join us last week. Please help us to welcome Ms. Warner, new part time EIP Teacher, Ms. Owens, new 3rd grade teacher, and Ms. Thomas, new Security Assistant!
We’re eagerly looking forward to events this week designed to engage both our families and students.
REMINDER no school on campus on Tuesday, November 5th. Please contact your child's teacher for the virtual assignment that will be sent home to complete. KONA ICE/PBIS Day is Wednesday, November 6th!

This free, family-friendly event aims to empower our community with important safety knowledge while offering an array of fun and interactive activities. Here's what you can look forward to:
Local Fire and Police Demonstrations: Learn essential safety procedures directly from the experts.
Meet Theo the Safety Dog: A special appearance by DeKalb Fire Rescue's Safety Dog.
Live DJ: Enjoy lively music throughout the event.
Free Gunlocks/Safes: Available while supplies last, to promote household safety.
Face Painting: Fun designs for the kids!
Refreshments: Free popcorn and cotton candy for all attendees.

Dear DCSD Title I Families,
We’re excited to invite you to Curriculum & Cuisine Night on November 7 for an engaging family workshop that empowers our families with practical tools and strategies to support their child’s academic journey in Mathematics, History, College & Career Readiness, and more.
Hosted by our Title I Parent Facilitators and CTAE team, this unique event uses “Taste and Talk” prompts to encourage meaningful conversations around learning—all while enjoying a sampling of global cuisine. No passport required!

ARRIVAL & DISMISSAL
- School doors open at 7:00am and breakfast begins, to avoid traffic plan to arrive early!
- After breakfast Intervention/Enrichment begins. This is a critical time for students that need support.
- 7:30am breakfast ends
- 7:40am Morning Announcements start
- 7:45am Instruction begins
- 2:15pm Dismissal begins, bus riders, van riders, walkers, car riders, and then aftercare are released. We ask that parents that pick up students in cars, allow our buses to be first in line. Buses arrive at 1:30pm and should be able to park in front of all cars.
- 2:30pm All students should be dismissed from classes.
- 2:45pm Parents arriving after this time will have to pick their child up from aftercare and there is a drop in fee that you will be required to pay.
