Hello Norris Lions!

Thank you to all who participated in our Norris Penny Wars this week! WOW! Our buckets are FULL with lots of pennies, coins, and dollar bills! We will announce our class winner on Monday of next week, and share our final total for the amount we collected to donate to Project Wee Care!

As we look ahead to our short week next week, remember that there is no school for students beginning Wednesday, November 27th - Friday, November November 29th!

If you ordered cookie dough from the PTO Eileen's Cookie Dough Fundraiser, you can pick up after school on Monday, November 25th. Pick up for the cookie dough will take place at the back door of Norris on the East Side of the building!

Each week, all students at Norris will have a lesson practicing a social skill. These weekly lessons are called our ROAR Skills of the Week! ROAR skills are practiced in the classroom during a Morning Meeting. All staff members are on the lookout through the week for students to be practicing the weekly skill. Students who demonstrate the skill of the week may earn a ROAR ticket and be entered into a weekly grade level drawing.

Please take some time each week to review the ROAR Skill of the Week with your child!

All students are practicing the calming strategy of Bubble Breath during the month of November! Practice this at home when your child is in need of a tool to help them calm down!

PLEASE assist us by making transportation arrangements and plans for after school activities AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE during the school day.

If you must make a change to your planned pickup, please call the office no later than 3:00 to ensure the message will be shared with your child. It cannot be guaranteed that your child will receive a message after that time. Messages about changes in transportation must come from a parent or guardian. We do not make changes in transportation based on student messages.

Orders will be available for pick-up on November 25th between 3:00 and 6:00 PM.

Norris PTO is organizing a special breakfast for all the staff members at Norris to say THANK YOU during the school's 12 Days of Appreciation in December! We will have Tom's Traveling Coffee serving up delicious drinks and breakfast served in the teacher's lounge. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Millard will hold a bond election by mail. Ballots will be sent to all Millard voters on January 21st and must be returned by 5 p.m. on February 11th.

There will be no pre-registration for Thanksgiving this year. Families can visit during our regular pantry hours from November 12th to 26th to receive a standard pantry package, along with the option to select a holiday meat. They are not adding any extra dates or times.
