Punkin Chunkin' Fun!
As 5th grade and I concluded our collaboration on the Force and Motion unit, we wrapped it up by applying our learning in a fun, hands-on way with a pumpkin chunkin' activity. What a memorable way to plant a lasting science concept in our 5th graders' minds!

SPOOKY STORIES IN THE DARK!
Hello Jackleen!
This past month, we explored the life cycle of a pumpkin and named our very own pumpkin "Jackleen." Students can visit Jackleen throughout the school year to observe each stage of her life cycle.

Cardboard Gingerbread House Display
Join in on our annual Cardboard Gingerbread House display! You and your child are invited to make and decorate a cardboard gingerbread house to show off in the Behlau Library. The house can be painted or otherwise decorated with real candy or craft materials. You can find a template below by clicking the photo below.
We will display the houses in the library for all to see and enjoy. The students will be asked to fill out an index card with their name and teacher’s name that will be posted by their house.
Gingerbread houses should be brought beginning December 2nd and will be sent back home with the students on December 19th and 20th. Any houses left after the 20th will be thrown away.
Please contact your librarian, Veronica Martinez with any questions.
