Harrington Happenings

I hope everyone has had a nice weekend so far! As we approach the end of September, I want to thank all of our students, staff, and families for their continued support and dedication to our school community. It has been a great start to the school year, and I am proud of the hard work and effort that everyone has put in so far.

Over the next couple of weeks, we will be reviewing student assessment data. Once reviewed, we will be able to establish any interventions that students may need regarding Literacy and Math. If your student has been identified as needing additional academic support through the general education lens, you will receive information detailing those interventions. As I stated above, I am proud of the effort and work the students put into these benchmark assessments.

Lastly, I want to remind you to stay involved in your child's education. Attend school events, communicate with teachers, and stay engaged in their learning journey. Your support is crucial to their success.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Together, we can make this school year a great one.

To better estimate the demand for lunches on half days, CPS Nutrition utilizes online lunch ordering for HALF DAYS ONLY.

For the upcoming half day Wednesday 9/18/24 orders must be received by Friday 9/13/24.

If you would like your child to have lunch on future half days, the online ordering is open for you to go ahead and select those dates.

Directions to set up your account and order:

1. URL Link: family.onlineordering.linq.com
2. Sign up now: Email, create password.
3. School District: Chelmsford Public Schools
4. Student ID: This can be found on x2- Child’s student ID number
5. Last Name: (You can also search and add siblings/family members at this time). Once this is completed, the student's name should appear on the page.

How to order meals

1. School Menu-select online lunch ordering (all schools)
2. Scroll to week of half day/early release date (top right of page)
3. Find date, select meal option
4. Add item to cart/Select Add to order
5. Click on shopping cart icon at top right of page
6. Click Check out
7. Select pick up location: Elementary pick-up location classroom. Middle/high school pick up location cafeteria.
8. Place order

Pride Wear sales end Friday, October 4

Pride Wear sales end Friday, October 4 at midnight. A flyer was sent home with more information about the sale and the QR code to access the store (or check it out below). 10% of every order will support your HPTO. Any sizing questions should be directed to Center Sports, Chelmsford, who graciously set up the store for us. Happy shopping!

Trunk or Treat Candy Donations begin Monday, October 7

Help us make our Trunk or Treat event a success by donating a bag or two of candy or other goodies*! A collection monster will be out in the lobby of the main building starting Monday, October 7 and we will be collecting up to the event. Have your student drop the donation in the monster on their way into school. Thank you for your generosity!

*Pencils, stickers, tattoos, or other age-appropriate items will also be accepted!

HPTO Monthly Meeting Wednesday, October 9

Please join us Wednesday, October 9 from 6:30-7:30 in the library. The meeting will also have a zoom option, which will be sent through ConnectEd the morning of the scheduled meeting, along with our agenda for the evening. Be sure to check your email!

Say Cheese! It’s Picture Day! Friday, October 11*

Be on the lookout for picture day order forms once the date gets closer! If you didn't know, school photos are actually utilized as a fundraiser for our schools! Each K-8 school's PTO will receive 20% of sales. This is one of the largest fundraisers for our district.

Please contact cpsphotoinfo@gmail.com with any K-8 school photo related questions or concerns, as well as any feedback (both positive and negative) with your school photo experience.

Trunk or Treat Saturday, October 19 4pm-6pm*

Food trucks! Bake sale! Crafts! Oh my! Oh, and most importantly, trunk or treat! Save the date - you don’t want to miss this event! Flyers went home last week, so check it out for lots of important information and QR codes for signups.

Come in your costumes! Enjoy some music, crafts, and trunk or treat. Come hungry and enjoy some yummy food from Donali Food Truck and Tacos Los Compas!

We’re looking for volunteers to decorate their trunks (at no charge to you), provide some delicious treats for our bake sale, and volunteer for setup and breakdown of the event. We can’t do this without you!
