Events
A Micro Gallery is a temporary art installation designed to raise awareness of missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and 2 Spirit People. Micro Galleries were initiated by The Canadian Library, and many already exist and are located in libraries, museums, businesses, colleges, and churches around the country. Book Wrapping Sessions:
All are welcome to join these sessions where we will view a short documentary and then wrap books in Indigenous-made fabrics. Each book that is wrapped commemorates a missing or murdered person, and will become a part of our MMIWG2S Micro Gallery.

A Freakin' Laser Cutter (Ages 14+)
Exciting news! STPL now has a cool Laser Cutter/Engraver that can cut paper, cardstock, wood (up to 1/4 inch), and acrylic plastic! It can even engrave designs on things like wood, plastic, aluminum bottles, and glassware. Join us for a fun session where we'll show you how it works and give you a chance to make a small project with it!

Learn how to make practical items using Tinkercad, a free and easy online tool for 3D printing. We’ll guide you through crafting straightforward designs that you can use in your everyday life. Stickin' To It with a Vinyl Creation! (Ages 14+)
Explore our Maker Lab’s three incredible machines that can work magic with vinyl! These machines can cut shapes for stickers, labels, and heat transfer to fabrics. Plus, one machine can even print colorful photos and graphics onto vinyl! Learn all about what these machines can do, and then get hands-on to create your very own vinyl sticker to take home!
