Message from the Principal
YEAR THREE ASSEMBLY - Thank you to our Year Three students and teachers for the entertaining assembly item this morning. The students engaged the audience with their news reading skills and interesting facts. The students thoroughly enjoyed sharing what they have been learning about this term. Thanks for a wonderful experience!
INTERSCHOOL ATHLETICS CARNIVAL - On Thursday, our Year Three to Year Six students participated in the Interschool Athletics Carnival at The State Athletics Track, Floreat. Students from various schools across Perth came together to showcase their athletic talents and competitive spirit. Thank you to Miss Eliza Hardie and the other St Peter’s staff for attending early morning training sessions to suitably prepare our students for the event. The Interschool Athletics Carnival brought together students from different Catholic Schools to celebrate sportsmanship, talent, and healthy competition. All students involved represented St Peter’s with pride, while having fun and enjoying the interschool experience.
NEW UNIFORMS - It is great to see some students already wearing our new school maroon polos, as well as the new reversable sports hat. These items are now available from the Uniform Concepts store on Beaufort Street. Thank you to Mrs Katie Pelosi for all her hard work developing our new school logo. Our school uniform is a visible representation of our school and plays an important role in promoting a positive image of the school. We will have a
three-year transition period to support our families moving from the existing uniform to the new uniform. Students who have already purchased the new uniform have shared with staff their excitement with the new look and provided positive feedback.
ANNUAL COMMUNITY MEETING - Our Annual Community Meeting for the Catholic School Advisory Council and P&F will be held at 6:30pm on Tuesday 21 November in the Library. At 5:30pm, prior to the commencement of the meeting we will thank all our parent volunteers with drinks and nibbles. Parent support and dedication are greatly appreciated and are fundamental for the success of our school. We hope you can join us to celebrate another wonderful year at St Peter’s Primary School!
WORLD TEACHERS' DAY - Thank you to our amazing P&F for their generous contribution to acknowledge our dedicated staff on World Teachers’ Day. The P&F recognised the hard work and dedication of all St Peter’s staff members with a coffee van and morning tea this morning. World Teachers’ Day is a great opportunity to recognise our teachers, education assistants and administration staff for their skilled work in educating, inspiring and supporting our students.
PARKING - The rangers have been visiting St Peter’s regularly and this week have issued a few fines. Please check the signage before parking, as we continue to have issues with cars being parked in No Parking Zones and in the middle of our Drop Off and Pick Up Zone on Salisbury Street. Kerbside parking on Salsbury street is not available from 7:45-8:35am and
2:45-3:00pm weekdays. Please also remember that there is No Parking allowed on our neighbours’ verge.
CAR PARK RAFFLE - In Week Five, every family from Kindy to Year Five will receive a packet of ten raffle tickets. We invite families to purchase a raffle ticket/s for one car park space available in the staff carpark outside the Administration block for 2024. On the evening of our End of Year Concert, four raffle tickets will be randomly selected, and each ticket winner will be entitled to the reserved car park bay for an entire school term.
$2 – 1 Ticket
$5 – 3 Tickets
$10 – 10 Tickets
All money raised from the carpark raffle will go towards new playground equipment once our Early Childhood build is completed.
Have a lovely weekend!
