First Quarter Patriot Games Are This Week
We hope you are all excited for our first quarter Patriot Games assembly this week!
Traditionally we have only earned Patriot points throughout the year by having the most passing grades, least amount of tardies and dress codes, and most PBIS points. Then to determine the champion we did a big Patriots Games competition assembly at the end of the year.
When planning for this year, we decided that once a year Patriots Games was simply not enough to get the job done, so we are now doing one EACH quarter!
Put your seatbelts on Patriots, I have a sneaking suspicion that after our first games, the points are going to get really close, and the competition is going to get really exciting!

A Reminder About Our Children In Wheelchairs And The Parking Lot At PHJH
We currently have multiple students in wheelchairs here at PHJH, and in order for our kiddos to be able to get in and out of their cars, into the building on time, and make it to medical appointments, they need to have access to get into and out of the handicap spaces during drop off and pick up. When in line, if you see cars trying to get into our out of those spots, PLEASE make sure to pause and let them out, and also PLEASE do not block access for them to get into the spots.
Thank you Patriots!
🥚 Egg Drop Day For Mr. Keller's Science Classes 🥚
The egg drop lab is one of our PHJH student favorites when it comes to labs in Science class. While the egg drop is fun and exciting, and always involves copious amounts of laughter, awwwww man's, and celebrations, there are a surprising number of concepts students learn when preparing for and conducting this lab.
The egg drop experiment teaches students about the concepts of force, motion, and energy. The basic premise of the experiment is to drop an egg from a certain height without breaking it. This requires students to use their understanding of physics to design a container or structure that will protect the egg from the forces of impact.
The experiment covers several physics concepts such as force, velocity, acceleration, and energy. It also encourages creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
