Campus Security
Safety at PRIDE Academy is a top priority. To ensure campus safety, starting Monday, August 26th, parents will be asked to say their morning goodbyes outside the gates. Minimizing our entry points and only allowing students on campus in the morning keeps our students and staff safe. Of course we always welcome and encourage parents on campus as classroom volunteers and for special events such as Back to School Night, monthly award assemblies, community nights, Lunch on the Lawn, classroom volunteers, and PTA events. Digital volunteer applications are available in the office and on our website and we continue to have a sign in process in the office for visitors. Thank you for understanding and ensuring our students' safety.
OPUS for Students in Grades 4-7
PRIDE Academy is honored to host the OPUS Project for a second year. The Opus Project offers eligible students in Grades 4-7 FREE ensemble music instruction, FREE instrument loans and supplies, summer camp opportunities, and FREE family access to KeyNote’s tuition-based programs and concerts. Classes are hosted by PRIDE's Expanded Learning Program (ELP) from 2:30-4:30 on Mondays and Wednesdays at PRIDE.
STEP 1: Register HERE for Opus by Thursday, August 29.
- Fourth through Sixth grade students are permitted to register for the beginners class
- Upon registering, returning students who were in sixth grade last year but will now be in seventh are placed in the intermediate class
STEP 2: Contact Santee's Expanded Learning Program (ELP) HERE to register.
Students must be registered for both programs in order to attend on September 4th.

IMPORTANT NOTES
PRIDE Academy in the News
On the first day of school Lindsey Peña from 10News visited PRIDE Academy to speak with Santee School District's Superintendent, Dr. Baranski, and PRIDE's VAPA teacher, Robin Larson. Check out the videos below.
Breakfast & Lunch
FREE breakfast and lunch will be available to all students during the school year.
Breakfast and lunch menus can be viewed here.
Breakfast is served before school: 7:15-7:45
If arriving at 7:15, please instruct your child to enter through the office to get their breakfast items.
Pick Up & Drop Off
There are two areas for arrival and dismissal. The main parking lot and the loading zone on Ellsworth Street.
Main Parking Lot
The two lanes closest to the school are for pick up and drop off.
The third lane, closest to Prospect, is for thru traffic only.
Once you enter one of the three lanes, you must stay in the same lane until the end of the drop off zone. Please do not try and cross lanes. This is unsafe for students and staff in the drop off zone.
Pull your vehicle up, filling all gaps, before allowing your student to exit.
Never leave your car unattended.
Assure your student is ready to exit the vehicle quickly once stopping.
Wait in your vehicle and an adult will escort your student safely to the curb.
When crossing Northview Lane, please use the designated crosswalks for safety.
Ellsworth Street
Only drop off next to the white loading zone curb.
Do NOT allow your child to run across Ellsworth.
Pull your vehicle up, filling all gaps, before allowing your student to exit.
Never leave your car unattended.
Assure your student is ready to exit the vehicle quickly once stopping.
