A message from Principal Locascio
Hello Families,
We have entered the spring season and with it all the fun and flurry that comes alongside. To enjoy the lighter skies at night we sometimes get in too much of a hurry.
A parent’s request: A dad contacted me with a concern and a request. Please watch and follow the safety staff's stop signs at the end of the day. Stay in your lane so cars are not cut off. This has been happening due to the rush of some drivers.
He asks that everyone slow down, follow the staff’s guidance, and the stop sign on when it is safe to go, and be patient. We want everyone to be able to depart safely and in an organized order. Thank you!
Student Learning: After spring break, we will enter into assessments for our district and state. We want to support the learning our students have accomplished this year by being their cheerleaders and encouragers as they settle in to do their best. To encourage each student’s best efforts, we will have healthy snacks, juices, and/or gum to support their active minds and engagement on the assessments. These assessments provide one snapshot of their learning journey. We want the day they engage in the assessments to show what they know and understand.
Healthy snack donations (cheese sticks, fruit, crackers, apple juice) are greatly appreciated. Beginning on April 7th, your child can bring them or you can drop them off at the front office.
Spring break: March 31 - April 4th. This is our last major break before we return with gusto to finish the rest of the school year. Enjoy the week, and allow your child to rest up and be ready to engage in the work at school and home to finish out the year solidly.
In warmest regards,
Ms. Locascio
