Please be sure to have your student swing by if you have a missing item! Racks are located in the front of the building. Items in our Lost & Found will be donated to a local thrift store on Friday May 9th if they are not claimed.

The end of the school year is approaching, which we understand can make it harder and harder to get students out the door to school in the mornings. However, please do your best to arrive at school with enough time to make it through the morning car line. We are working on our end to ensure that we are making the morning car line as efficient as possible. Once the tardy bell rings at 7:45 please plan to park and bring your student inside for a tardy pass. In the event that a line back up occurs due to SGE inefficiency or lack of officer helping with traffic we will keep our staff out longer. However, on majority of days our staff will need to move inside at 7:45 to begin supporting instruction and can not supervise tardy students getting out of vehicles.

Registration for the 25-26 school year is officially open! All new and returning students must complete the online registration. Please take the time to register your student as soon as possible, this will help us plan for classes and staffing at Shady Grove.

Is your second grader heading to RJ Richey next school year? They would love to get some information on your student to help place them in the best classroom! Please submit the form below to provide your input.

Student safety is a top priority. As such, we routinely complete drills so that students and staff know what to do in case of a real emergency. On 4/28, we completed our fire drill for the month of March.

Miss the previous opportunity to order your student a Yearbook? Shady Grove still has a few available in the front office to purchase! Stop by the office if you are interested.

As summer is quickly approaching we wanted to take the time to share a few ideas to help you have a great summer with your student, and maybe take advantage of some natural summer learning opportunities! Over the next few weeks we'll share ideas anywhere from bedtime story tips and tricks to technology free activities you can do with your student! We hope these notes from our teachers bless your family!

Last Week's ADA for SGE: 97%

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. Check out SGE's ADA trends in the chart above.

"98 IS Great!" We'll celebrate as a campus when we hit a week with 98% attendance!

We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able. Let's work for 98%!

Submit an email on the same day as the transportation change request by 1:30 p.m. to sge-transportation@burnetcisd.net

Include the following details in the email:

• Student’s full name
• Student’s grade level
• Student’s homeroom teacher
• The transportation change you want made for today (bus rider to car rider or car rider to bus rider)

Requests made after 1:30pm will not be processed. Notes, phone calls, text messages and emails sent to any other email will not be processed.
