Grading Scales:
In order to support broader forms of grading, such as letter grades or proficiency ratings (ex. unsatisfactory to excellent), we introduced customizable grading scales. With this update, teachers have the option to select from numerical, letter grade, proficiency, four-point grading scales, or set up their own scale.
Once the grading scale is selected and personalized (if the teacher chooses to do so), teachers can create assignments right away and any existing assignments will automatically have their newly selected grading scale. When grading assignments, teachers can enter either the grade with the points value or the level from the grading scale and Classroom will automatically display both to teachers and to students once a grade is returned.
Interactive Questions for YouTube
Teachers can add questions to a YouTube video and assign it to students, all within Classroom. As the video plays, questions will pop up and students will have their answers validated in real time and the opportunity to rewatch the video as needed. Teachers will see an overview of their studentsโ progress and insights, such as which questions they struggled with, to aid their instructional approach.
