Principal's Message
Dear Baggett Families,
In my leadership training, the district leaders supporting our growth often impressed upon us to not just be problem-solvers, but to be problem avoiders. In other words, do what do we need to do to avoid ever confronting the issue. Our staff, 147 strong, consistently works to prevent problems from ever coming to the surface. We know that communication is the key to avoiding most problems. At the same time, we want to let you know that we value two-way communication. If you have a question or an idea to share, please send us an email, give us a call, or plan to show up at our next Coffee & Conversation. We want to hear from you!
Speaking of lunch, family members are reminded that they are welcome to join us for lunch on any day of the week. Please limit this to no more than 2 family members at a time. As a reminder, when you join us, you and your child will sit separate from the rest of the class, at one of the bistro tables. Please remember that this is a time for you to be with your child and enjoy lunch from our cafeteria, not to bring in outside food and not to speak to other students or to have a parent/teacher conference.
This holds true for our athletic and fine arts events too. These afternoon and evening activities are opportunities for you to enjoy your child and to marvel at their growth and performance. Please remember to celebrate the success of all and our golden rule - treat others as you would have them treat you, as well as what my mother would tell me, "If you don't have anything nice to say..."
Thank you for embracing these guidelines. We want lunch as well as all of our activities to be enjoyable ones for all of our community. Doing so will provide you an opportunity to truly model that which we expect of all of our Baggett Titans, that they are respectful, responsible, problem-solvers.

News from the Media Center
The Book Fair runs through March 8th. This year, the book fair will stay open late so that families can browse and purchase prior to or after their early release conferences. We're planning to stay late on Wednesday, March 6th and to be available on the 7th for a little while after students release. Please plan to swing by to check out the great books that we have. Invest in your children by investing in their reading success!
Our counseling team is truly looking forward to celebrating National Career Week, March 4th-8th. We are especially looking forward to the best Career Day ever at Baggett ES. We want to thank those who have already volunteered to share about their career or to connect us with someone else to share about their career.
We are looking ahead to Career Day, which will be held Tuesday, March 5th from 8:00-11:30. If you have questions about Career Day or would like to reach out to one of our counselors, please see our contact information below.
