Greetings AOC Families,

I hope that you had a restful weekend! Next week is a traditional schedule. Students will present their final projects and take final exams in their classes. And, for your planning purposes, here is a copy of the 2024-2025 school calendar for the William S. Hart Union High School District. Good luck to our students on their final exams this week and next week!

The last day of the school year is quickly approaching. It will be held on May 30th, the same day as our senior graduation.

Upcoming Events

May 20th-May 24th- AOC Final Exams and Final Culminating Activities and Projects, regular schedule

May 24th- Student Panels, minimum day schedule, students learn from grade level peers and school-wide Pizza Party supplied by ROOTS special schedule and early dismissal (at 12:20pm)

May 27th-No School, Memorial Day

May 28th-Senior Pancake Breakfast at 10:30-12:30pm in the Cougar Den

May 29th- Senior Graduation Rehearsals in the PAC (11:00am), ASB hosts Senior Sunset and Cap Decorating (in the plaza, in front of AOC) and special Extended Lunch Schedule for all students

May 30th- Graduation at 6pm in the COC Performing Arts Center (PAC) and last day of school, last day of COC '24 Spring classes

May 31st-Teacher work day, no students

June 1st-August 11- Summer Break

August 6th- Summer Check-In from 1:00pm-6:00pm by grade level

August 12th- First day of the 2024-2025 school year. The 2024-2025 WSHUHSD Calendar is attached.

August 19th-First day of COC classes for the 2024-2025 school year.

Located on the campus of College of the Canyons, AOC is proud to be the middle college high school in the William S. Hart Union High School District serving students 9th-12th grades in the Santa Clarita Valley. Students have the opportunity to earn between 24 and 44 transferable college units, prior to receiving their high school diplomas. Upon graduation, the majority of Academy students pursue their post high school education by continuing at COC and completing their college transfer requirements in only one year after high school. Other AOC students go directly into a four-year university, bringing their community college units with them and placing themselves well into their freshman and sophomore years at the college level. While attending AOC as a high school student, community college tuition is waived for established California residents.
