LIFT Weekly Update
All about the Student Ministries at First Baptist Covington
Hey, everybody!
Though it may not feel like it, I think it is supposed to be Fall, which means there are lots of fun things coming up!
First of all, don't forget that this week is BONFIRE NIGHT @ LIFT! We will LEAVE the Annex at 5:30, so don't be late! We'll head out to the country to enjoy an evening with a bonfire, pumpkin smashing, S'mores, hot dogs, fireside worship, and much more! Bring a jacket, and we'll be back by 8:30pm.
The Middle School Mystery Retreat is coming up Nov 7-9, and signups are now open HERE! Students don't get to know what is going to happen, they just show up and trust that they will have a great time! It's only $100 for a very full weekend, so register today!
This Sunday Night at LifeLine, we'll continue our World Religions study by getting a hands-on experience with Judaism, enjoying a Seder Meal! 6-7pm in the Annex.
Remember, next week there is NO PRAYER BREAKFAST on Oct. 21st and NO LIFT on October 22nd because of Newton County Fall Break. We'll return to normal schedule the following week with a new series at LIFT called "Necessary Sins!"
The LIFT Supper Schedule is below, and our first one for the year is next week. Many of you signed up at our Parent Meeting. Let me know if you'd like to be added to an open spot!

Follow-Up Questions for Parents
· Why is the resurrection so important?
· How would things be different if Jesus didn’t conquer death?
· How has looking at all the details of these events affected the way you think about Jesus?
· Why did Matt say that this story is the most important thing that ever happened?
· Do you believe that to be true? Why or why not?
· Do you live more like someone who believes that Jesus lives or someone who really believes He isn’t around?
