Dear Families,

Can you believe Quarter 1 ends this Friday?! The last 9 weeks have flown by with lots to celebrate. Homecoming week events, College Go Week, and the many other clubs and opportunities for students to become involved at CHS are adding to our positive school climate. Thanks for encouraging your child to be involved!

Please continue to call the attendance line (825-5584) if your child isn't going to be at school.

Students that attend school regularly achieve at higher levels than students who do not have regular attendance.

Please reach out if you need anything at all.

CHS would like to thank our community partnership with the Connersville Police Department & K-9 unit. Thanks for visiting CHS & supporting our student & staff safety initiatives! We appreciate YOU!

In addition to our community partnership with CPD, CHS also has a student Safety Committee. These students meet monthly to discuss and implement ways to make CHS the best place it can be for students and staff.

Parking lot safety continues to be a priority with arrival and dismissal procedures. Thank you families for following our procedures and continuing to drop students off in the correct locations. Reminder that the staff parking lot is not a designated student drop off area; this allows our special transportation buses to safely deliver students to our Life Skills program.

Connersville High School is excited to announce that senior Carson Giesting has been named a 2024 National Merit Semifinalist! Over 1.3 million students across the nation entered the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test in the fall of their junior year. Being named a Semifinalist is a recognition of both hard work and academic excellence. This distinction is earned by the top 16,000 students and represents less than 1% of all U.S. high school seniors. This honor is only the first step in the competition; both National Merit Finalists and National Merit Scholarship award winners will be announced next spring and summer.
Congratulations, Carson! Spartan Nation is so proud of you and your hard work!
