Principal's Message- So Much to Celebrate!
Dear Sandersville Families,
We are looking forward to all of the end of they year activities and celebrations, but before we get to the fun stuff I want to brag on the hard work of our students. We are putting the finishing touches on MAP testing today and I am proud to report that we have exceeded the school projections for the 23-24 school year. Based on the average growth that was calculated after the fall test, our students out performed their Math Projections by 16% and outperformed their Reading Projections by 12%. Our growth puts us in the FCPS grouping of High Growth Schools! I am so proud of our students and our teachers!
Speaking of our incredible teachers and staff, I want to express my gratitude for their dedication this year. They have fostered a love of learning in our students and gone above and beyond to support their growth. They are the heart and soul of our success and we are so lucky to have the team we do at Sandersville. Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10. Please take time to send a note or small gift to those teachers making the biggest impact on your family.
Thank you for everything you do to support the success of our students at Sandersville. If assistance is ever needed, call the office at 859- 381-4980 or email matt.marsh@fayette.kyschools.us.
Sincerely,
Mr. Marsh, Sandersville Principal

KSA for 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades- Going for Blue!
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will take the Quality of School Climate and Safety (QSCS) survey and Kentucky Summative Assessment (KSA) beginning on May 10. This test measures students’ progress towards the grade level content. Unlike MAP, these scores are not available until fall. Student reports will be shared with families then. KSA testing covers reading and math (3rd-5th), science (4th), social studies (5th), and writing (5th).
While makeup sessions will be provided when students are absent for testing, it's very important for students to be present and test in their normal learning atmosphere if at all possible. Please avoid scheduling appointments on testing dates. To set the students up for success, families can help ensure students get a good night’s rest, a healthy breakfast, and positive encouragement throughout. If you have any questions about testing, you can reach out to your child’s teacher or the building assessment coordinator, Caroline Wilkerson.
2023-2024 Yearbook Order

Infinite Campus Updates
This year Fayette County Public Schools is introducing the Annual Update. The Annual Update is a tool that will allow you to verify and make corrections as needed to your information in Infinite Campus - including demographic and contact information.
Currently, the Campus Parent module is only available in English and Spanish. If you speak a language other than English or Spanish, resources and support will be available this summer to assist you with the process of making any necessary updates to your information.
The Annual Update can be accessed by logging in to Campus Parent and will be available starting Wednesday, May 1. Please visit the Campus Parent Support Site if you need help creating a new Campus Parent account, or requesting a username reminder or a password reset.
For instructions on how to get started, you can visit: fcps.net/ICupdate.
Please note that changes of address will require proof of residence - a deed or lease and utility bill, and may require additional time to verify and process the application. Adjustments to guardians and/or emergency contacts will also require verification and additional processing time for application.
The goal of this new tool is to:
- Maintain current contact information for our students and their guardians
- Help plan for the new school year
- Improve efficiency and accuracy in updating important household information regularly
- Help us stay connected with our families
Please make any changes to your information in Campus Parent by Friday, May 31. If you need assistance, please email parent.portal@fayette.kyschools.us. Resources and multilingual support will be available this summer.
Culture and Climate Committee Survey
The Sandersville Culture and Climate Committee would like to hear from you about how we are doing. We realize there is a district survey that has been sent, but this will allow us to better understand how our families feel about certain topics. Please complete these to help us better serve our students and families. It only takes 5 minutes!
Here are the parent surveys for school fit and school climate in the top 5 languages at our school:
