Alt Ed Families:
We have some GRRRREAAAT new Alt Ed. planners for students. I've been giving some out on Fridays, and if I missed a student that would like one, please let me know.
Especially for students that are kinesthetic and visual learners, using a planner has multiple benefits. #1 is reducing stress. Spending just a little bit of time planning out the tasks we need to do will help us immediately with the below benefits, particularly #1-3 below.
Key benefits of time management for students:
Reduced stress:
By planning ahead and scheduling tasks, students can avoid the last-minute rush and associated stress.
Improved focus:
With a structured schedule, students can dedicate focused attention to their studies, minimizing distractions.
Increased productivity:
Efficient time management allows students to accomplish more in less time, maximizing their study sessions.
Better decision-making:
Prioritizing tasks and allocating appropriate time for each helps students make informed decisions about their workload.
Avoids procrastination:
By setting clear deadlines and actively managing their time, students are less likely to put off tasks until the last minute.
Enhanced confidence:
Achieving goals through effective time management can boost a student's self-esteem and confidence.
Work-life balance:
Proper time management allows students to balance their academic responsibilities with other aspects of life like leisure and social activities.
Improved quality of work:
With dedicated time slots for each task, students can focus on completing assignments with greater quality.
Thank you,
Alissa Kruse

National Native American Heritage Month
San Ramon Valley Unified School District recognizes the month of November as National Native American Heritage Month. We acknowledge that this country was home to generations of Indigenous Peoples long before the arrival of European explorers and that these tribes had a unique and vibrant culture. The California State Board of Education recognizes that each student needs an opportunity to understand the common humanity underlying all peoples and our California Frameworks state that the history curriculum must reflect the experiences of all people. During this month, a special focus is placed on improvement in education about Native American Heritage.
Substitute Educators Day: November 22, 2024
San Ramon Valley Unified School District recognizes November 22, 2024, as Substitute Educators Day. Our substitute educators are an essential part of the education of students in our district. They provide continuity in the learning process and safe, healthy learning environments for students. The Board of Education and the district administrative team extend sincere appreciation to the substitute educators of SRVUSD and encourage the community to celebrate their contributions.
