Bloomingdale Blast
April 25, 2025
Bloomingdale Avenue School
What a fantastic week it's been welcoming our students back after a refreshing Spring Break! The energy and enthusiasm filling our hallways have been wonderful to see. This week also brought some special highlights.
Our artists shone brightly at our BAS Art Night! The creativity on display was truly inspiring. A special thank you to Ms. Kellett, Ms. Fegan, and Ms. Enzbigilis for chairing this event, nurturing our students' artistic talents and making the evening such a success. We would also like to recognize Mrs. Paone and Mrs. McNeil for organizing our students' artwork throughout the hallways of BAS.
We were thrilled to celebrate "Take Your Child to Work Day," giving students a glimpse into various workspaces by accompanying a family member to work.
Finally, we celebrated Arbor Day today! A heartfelt thank you to Ms. McDonald and all our classroom teachers for preparing such a meaningful celebration for our students through songs and poems. We concluded the ceremony by planting a special tree in the front of BAS. Thank you to all the parents and family members who attended.
It's been a full and vibrant week, and we're so grateful for our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive families! Here's to a continued successful and engaging spring!
Take care,
Mr. Litz

BAS Art Night
On Tuesday night, Bloomingdale Avenue School buzzed with creative energy at the PTA-hosted Art Night! Students went on an exciting art-themed scavenger hunt looking for artistic clues hidden throughout the school. We also had students create their own unique Kandinsky Circles. Laughter and time with family made it a memorable night for the whole school community!
Arbor Day Celebration
Bloomingdale continued its' annual Arbor Day celebration, recognizing the beauty and importance of nature. Students shared their poems, songs, and together we planted a new tree on our grounds, a symbol of growth and the establishment of strong educational roots. We also appreciate all parents and family members that joined us for the celebration.
