Mrs. Roark: Ja'Niya Harden has shown her leadership abilities all year. She is quick to help a friend and offer her supplies if a classmate is in need. Ms. Snoddy and I are so proud of Ja'Niya and can't wait to see her grow this year!
Ms. Merlo: Di'Antio Turner is always willing to help and volunteer to do things, even if he doesn't want to do them. His greatest example is teaching another scholar how to tie their shoes. He is an amazing leader in the classroom!
Ms. Prawdzik: My student of the month is Almier Owens. Almier is a leader and role model in class. He sets a great example for others to follow by completing his work, having a positive attitude, and correcting his own behavior when necessary.
Mrs. Cook: The Student of the Month in Mrs. Cook's second grade classroom is Darnell Townsel. Darnell has proven he is a leader this school year. He is often the first student to log in each morning to Blackboard and continually offers to share his thinking when Mrs.Cook asks for student responses. His work is turned in on time, and he freely gives compliments to other students and his teachers.
Mr. Teer: Malachi Posey is my Student of the Month for November. This is Malachi's first year at GHA, and he has proved to me since day one that he has what it takes to be a leader. Not only is Malachi a strong student academically, Malachi shows strong leadership skills in the classroom such as: respecting adults, supporting his peers, completing assignments on time, and submitting quality work. However, I believe Malachi's strongest asset is his sense of humor; Malachi never fails to make me smile throughout the day! Mr. Musolf and I are very lucky to have Malachi in our classroom!
Ms. Paynter: My'Tiera Allen is my Student of the Month. She has done an amazing job getting her assignments done online and is very rarely absent. She participates in class discussions and asks questions when she needs help. My'Tiera also offers help if she sees that something is going wrong. She is definitely a leader!
Mr. Chapman: Kameron Castillo is my Student of the Month. Kameron has displayed leadership qualities during this school year, in both online and face-to-face settings. His cool, calm demeanor provides an atmosphere in the classroom that other staff and students admire. I am so proud of Kameron and the way he strives to get better each and every day.
Ms. Crane: Andrew Owens is my Student of the Month for November. Andrew shows leadership qualities by showing up to class on time, doing his assignments, and being a friend to everyone. While on vacation, Andrew still showed up to class every day! Way to go, Andrew!
Ms. Thomas: My Student of the Month is Christine Henderson. She is a definite leader in the classroom. She is always willing to help any student or staff. She has a great talent for entertaining students and leading discussions.
