Principal's Message
Dear Bard Families,
September was a remarkable month, and we are here to embrace October and the months ahead. Our students and staff have had some time to get to know one another and are creating a positive learning community. We've had our first Flag Gathering, Principal's Recess and a successful Back to School Night.
As we move into the month of October, we will be screening our students in the area of reading, math, and social and emotional learning. This screening will help guide our instruction and build support where needed as we move forward.

Student Safety 1st During Drop-Off and Pick-Up
When picking up and dropping off your students at school, ideally, we would ask that you park on a side street or in the school parking lot and walk your student to a school entrance.
Rear Parking Lot: If you drop off or pick up students at the side gate of the rear parking lot, please stay to the right, nearest the yellow line at the fence. Staying to the right will allow other vehicles to exit around those vehicles still waiting for their student(s).
Lillian Drive Gate: The gates at the rear of the Bard playground is available for student pick-up or drop-off. The Lillian Drive cul-de-sac is staffed during pick-up and drop-off times and is significantly less crowded. It is an excellent pick-up and drop-off area alternative.
IT IS NOT SAFE AND IT IS ILLEGAL TO PARK ON PLEASANT VALLEY RD DIRECTLY OUTSIDE OF THE KINDER CLASSROOMS. There is plenty of parking in the school parking lot, and it is much safer.
We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe!
Picture Day Oct 10th
Fall 2024-2025 Picture Day is coming soon! Picture Day is October 10! Flyers and information was sent home.
International ShakeOut Day - October 17
This year's International ShakeOut Day is October 17, when millions worldwide will participate in earthquake drills at work, school, or home! Participating in an earthquake drill will help you and your loved ones understand what to do in case you are not with them during an earthquake. Make sure you and your children understand what to do at home and our school's emergency procedures for disasters.
