UOC envisions Oregon City and surrounding areas as being a welcoming and safe space for historically marginalized, disenfranchised and oppressed peoples to share their experiences and voices. We envision a community that accepts and appreciates those including, but not limited to, race, sex, gender identity, ethnicity, national origin, socioeconomic status, documentation status, culture, sexual orientation, religion, age and ability.
Mission Statement
Unite Oregon City is a non-partisan group that strives to make Oregon City and the surrounding area a more welcoming and safe place by working collaboratively with other formal and informal community groups to create and support programs, practices, and policies that lead to a just, equitable, diverse and inclusive community that accepts and appreciates the uniqueness of all.

STEP UP CLACKAMAS -April 8
On Saturday, April 8, you are invited to participate in Step Up Clackamas. This event -- sponsored by the Coalition for Communities of Color, Clackamas Community College, and other organizations -- will center the experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students in Clackamas County, Oregon.
The goal of Step Up Clackamas, as established by the student-led steering committee, is to create an accessible and impactful gathering where attendees can learn from each other and celebrate our communities. There will be activities for students, their families, and community members.
For more information visit: https://www.coalitioncommunitiescolor.org/step-up-clackamas
Event components include:
· Student Workshop on Giving Testimony (11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
· This hybrid (online and in-person) workshop hosted by Next Up is open to junior high and high schoolstudents only. The workshop will teach students how to share their stories in a way that inspires change in their school and the greater community.
· Student Art Gallery and Free Community Lunch (1 - 3:30 p.m.)
· The art gallery is open to all community members. Enjoy a photo booth and music, and experience artwork depicting the places in Clackamas County where students and residents feel welcome. Community members can participate in the project by adding their own visions on an interactive art wall.
· Student Leaders Panel (3:30 – 5 p.m.)
· This is open to all community members who are interested in hearing about the experiences of BIPOC student leaders (our panelists) and how to better support BIPOC students in our region.
