Harvey Green Families,

Thank you to those families who attended the Panda Express fundraiser. I heard the lines were quite long during the evening hours. We appreciate your support and hope that you can attend the Mod Pizza fundraiser at the end of the month.

Recently 1st-5th grade families received an email with your child's iReady scores. Many parents did not realize the scores are all the way on the bottom of the email. Please be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom to see their results. Also, remember that this is a diagnostic test and it will help guide our instruction.

There are many exciting events coming up this month! Please be sure to check your emails and se the calendar below. We are looking forward to the return of the PTA Fall Festival on Saturday, October 29th. We are looking for candy donations and volunteers, more information can be found below.

ALL Green students will have access to free meals here at school. Students will be asked every morning if they are going to get a school lunch so we can order the correct amount

of food. Please communicate with your child if you would like them to get a school meal and if they are choosing the meat or vegetarian option.

TK/K students are welcome to come through the lunch line and grab a lunch but there is no lunch supervision for TK/K students they will need to eat with a parent/guardian off campus.

Breakfast will be served daily in the MUR for any interested students at 8:05am. Parents/guardians are not allowed in the MUR. Students will be supervised while they eat and will be either released to recess when finished or if they are TK/K they will be walked to class.

The weather certainly doesn't feel like fall just yet but October is sure filled with many exciting things! I will be visiting classrooms for counseling lessons every month so be sure to look out for the topics each month... or ask your child to share with you what they learned! This month, the counseling lesson themes are friendship and organization.

Unity Day is happening on Wednesday, October 19th! Unity is an anti-bullying campaign where the school community unites in kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. Please have your child come to school dressed in orange!! We hope to have as much orange as possible on 10/19 to show that we are united in standing against bullying. We will also have a lunch time activity for students to write messages on a unity link of ways to include others and create a bully-free environment together. Per Board Policy any parent/guardian of a student enrolled in the District shall notify the District prior to or within five (5) days of any change in circumstance and/or a move which would affect their student’s residency (AR 5111.1).

Please complete and email the Change of Address Form with 2 proofs of new address residency to your current school.
