Greetings ASASP Family!
Greetings ASASP Family,
It is my hope that each of you are doing well, winding down from FY 2024 and are planning to enjoy some time to have fun doing whatever it is that makes you happy over the next few weeks. Life is much too short not to take some time off to regroup, relax, relate and release yourselves and come back rejuvenated.
Summertime is your time and should not be allowed to slip out of your hands, however if you need to reach out to the staff due to any concerns, we will be here when you need us. Otherwise, have a great and wonderful summer. I know you know that I own the rights to the clips in this document, but I chose them for your entertainment and enjoyment as you wind down for summer 2024. Please don't forget that solo quiero bailar!!
Jeffery Parker, Executive Director ASASP
Negotiations Are Underway!!!
Negotiations Are Ongoing
Negotiations for our new contract are ongoing throughout the summer....
ASASP Budget for FY 2025 Passed With Flying Colors!
Thank you all for your votes!. The 2025 ASASP budget was approved by the 182 members that chose to vote between June 20 and June 30th. The final vote was 179 Yays and 3 Nays. The budget passed overwhelmingly and is now in effect. Unfortunately only 17% of our 1070 members participated in the process but that is a lot better than ever before.
June 15th Deadline For To Issue Ineffective Overall Ratings
Your negotiated agreement is in effect for your protection against unscrupulous, unfair and uninformed practices. ASASP is here to ensure that your rights are not violated. However, if you don't let us know then we won't know until perhaps it's too late.
If you don't know then you need to ask somebody....
If you received an "ineffective" overall rating on your final evaluation after the June 15th Deadline you need to contact the office after you Immediately address your concern with your immediate supervisor. If you as a supervisor issued an "ineffective" overall rating to your school based unit 2 or unit 3 employee please review your evaluation handbook, make the necessary adjustment or contact OEP for clarification of next steps.
In addition to the mandatory June 15th deadline for issuing ineffective ratings in the negotiated agreement, there are a number of other steps that are required to be taken when an "ineffective" rating is being considered for a unit 2 or unit 3 employee.
If you have any concerns about your ratings please don't hesitate to call or email ASASP and ask a question.
Sick Leave Bank Window Opens July 1 through October 1, 2024.

Please be informed that the Sick Leave Bank "SLB" will be open for new membership for the next 90 Days. From July 1st through October 1, 2024, members of ASASP will be eligible to join the SLB, which is a great investment and benefit in time of need away from work if ever a medical condition causes your temporary absence for a period of time.
