Outdoor Recess and Snow Gear
As a reminder, we will have outdoor recess whenever the windchill is above 0 degrees. Be sure your child is coming to school with cold weather gear including hats, gloves. When there is snow on the ground, only students wearing boots will be permitted to play in the snow.
Watch DOGS Needed Friday Afternoons
- Dads/male guardians/grandpas/uncles/adult brothers etc. - this is your opportunity to interact with and provide positive male role models for Davis students.
- We need 4 volunteers every Friday from 11:15-1:25.

Vertical Voices Choir Festival on Monday, January 27!
Our 5th grade Davis Elementary Choir will join with all D303 elementary choirs, 8th grade choirs, and HS chorales for our annual D303 All-District Choir Festival called “Vertical Voices” on Monday, January 27, 2025 at Wredling Middle School.
This event allows vocalists from all over the district the opportunity to work and sing together as they build musicianship skills, improve vocal and choral technique, gain valuable friendships, and share their gift of song. The Choirs of our D303 Elementary, Middle, and High schools will sing together throughout the evening!
Festival Agenda for 5th grade Choir
- Before School: Davis Choir will meet as usual on Monday, January 27, before school. It is extremely important for all choir members to be at this upcoming rehearsal.
- *Students go home after school to eat and change into Concert Attire--5th Gr Choir T-shirts, black pants, shoes, and socks--a.k.a. “Concert Black”
- Please remember to eat a snack prior to coming to WMS--there will be no eating during our evening rehearsal and performance
- 4:45 Parents/Guardians Drop-Off Students at the GYMNASIUM ENTRANCE at WREDLING MS (coats, bags, phones are left with grownups at this time!)
- 4:50-5:50 Rehearsal with the MS & HS students
- 5:50-6:00 Bathroom Break (if needed)
- 6:00-6:30 Back in Seats in the Main Gym/Audience Seating
- (Enter WMS via GYMNASIUM DOORS)
- 6:30-7:15 Concert
- 7:15 Families Pick Up from GYMNASIUM ENTRANCE DOORS at WMS
Audience Seating for Families will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the MAIN GYM at WREDLING MS; admission is FREE. Overflow Parking will be available at EAST High School.

After-School Soccer Clinic
K-5 Free Soccer Clinic held after school at Davis, held by St Charles East High School Soccer.
Grades K-2 is Monday, February 10th from 3:30-4:30PM
Grades 3-5 is Wednesday, February 12th from 3:30-4:30PM

If you have multiple kids wanting to sign up, please fill out the form for each student.
Please bring clothes to potentially go outside. If the weather is nice enough we will go outside. Cleats and shin guards are not required. Gym shoes and athletic attire are preferred.
*** We are capping each session at 40 total kids per session due to safety concern
Valentine Parties
Winter parties at Davis will be Friday, February 14th.
Please do not send any candy or food to school with Valentines
2:00 p.m. Room parents arrive and begin party preparation
2:15 p.m. Parties commence
3:00 p.m. Parties end and clean up begins
Room Parent Guidelines:
No more than 4 room parents per classroom may attend. (Others may assist with preparations outside of school or goody bags). Sign-up for Room Parents was completed through our PTO in September.
If you have never had your ID/drivers license scanned at the school, it is very helpful to have that done prior to the party. Stop by the office at your convenience.
Lead Parent: Work with the classroom teacher & other room parents on activities/games for the party
Lead Parent: Coordinate with the teacher & other room parents on any non-edible goody bags to be sent home. No food treats will be eaten during the party or sent home.
After-School Baseball Clinic
Come learn the fundamentals of baseball with our Wasco Baseball coaches! Participants will engage in activities that promote teamwork, baseball skills, and fun. Please bring a baseball glove if you have one.
