Weekly Principal Note
Good Afternoon-
We are approaching our last week before December break. Our RMS Chorus Concert is December 11th, and our RMS Band Concert is December 16th. We look forward to celebrating these students, and Mrs. Cierri and Mr. Diamond have done an awesome job preparing students.
There is an RMS Spirit Week next week from December 16-20. Make sure to pay attention to the theme days each day. The school will celebrate with a school-wide assembly on Friday, December 20th..
December break starts on Saturday, December 21 and goes through Wednesday, January 1, 2025. I hope you all have a wonderful break!
The next newsletter will come out on Wednesday, January 8th.
Respectfully,
Ryan Gilpatrick
Teen Night
Join us for Teen Night at the Rochester Rec Center! This is a fun program for teens to come hang out and just be teens. We offer games, activities, crafts, and, of course, PIZZA and music!
Please note: No outside food or drink is allowed. Teens may bring an empty refillable water bottle.
Who: Kids 12-17 years old. 6th graders who are not yet 12 will also be welcome to join*. This program is open to Rochester residents and those who attend school in Rochester. Participants must present a Rochester School District ID at the time of entrance.**
When: The first Saturday of the month from 6pm-8:30pm, Dec 7, Jan 4, Feb 1, Mar 1
Where: Rochester Rec Center
Cost: Program is free. Pre-registration is not required, but it strongly encouraged. Those who pre-register will get fast pass entrance access.
*11-year-old 6th graders must be registered in person, either in advance at the Rec Office or at the time of the event.
**Teens who do not attend school in the Rochester School District but have a parent/guardian who lives in Rochester may register using the parent's address. Proof of parent/guardian's residency will be required. We ask that parents/guardians register in-person to verify proof of residency.
Holiday Parade
Our students from The PACK created a float and entered it into the Rochester Holiday Parade. Thank you to Kayla Roy for leading this, and thank you to Officer DeLuca, Jennifer Duprat, and Elyse Cookson for participating and supporting the event.
