Welcome back from our Thanksgiving Day break! Hope everyone had a wonderful time with their families.
As we return to School, I hope everyone remembers this time of year can be both exciting and overwhelming for our students as we approach the holiday season.
In the coming weeks we will focus on learning to be RESPONSIBILITY for the month of December.
This is a valuable lesson that you can also talk to your children about at home.
Teaching responsibility at home is a valuable way to help children build important life skills. For younger children, start with simple tasks like cleaning up toys, feeding a pet, or setting the table. As they grow, encourage them to take on age-appropriate chores, such as helping with laundry, packing their school bags, or managing their homework.
Please be sure to model responsibility yourself, as children learn a lot by observing adults. Use positive reinforcement to celebrate their efforts, and remind them that making mistakes is part of learning.
By giving children consistent opportunities to contribute and make decisions, you’re helping them develop independence, accountability, and confidence in their abilities.
The importance of being in school and being part of our school community is a big focus during this time, as for some children it is hard to come back to school. Please encourage your child and explain how it is our responsibility to be here and there's as well.
If your child is experiencing any challenges during this time or could use additional support, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m here to help! Together, we can ensure a smooth and joyful end to 2024 for every student.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s social-emotional well-being please reach out to me and I will be happy to help!
