WELCOME KINDERGARTEN AND PREK!
It was a great week last week with our students in Grades 1 through 5! Tomorrow morning (Tuesday, September 3rd) we will welcome our Kindergarten students and PreK students who attend on Tuesdays!
KINDERGARTEN:
~ Kindergarten teachers will be waiting out in the front of the building to meet their students. Each teacher will be holding a sign with their name. Once students in Grades 1 - 5 enter the school, Kindergarten lines will walk in the building. This is a first day of school only practice. After tomorrow, Kindergarteners enter the building and walk to their classrooms like the other grades.
~ Goodbyes happen outside of the building - parents do not walk down to classrooms with children. If your child arrives on the bus, extra teachers will be helping them off the bus and escorting them to their teacher.
***Kindergarten teacher assignments were sent out on Thursday afternoon. If you did not receive your child's Kindergarten teacher assignment, let us know and we will get you the information.

PRE K:
PreK students will meet their teachers outside the doors of the PreK at the end of the building.
VOTING:
On Tuesday, September 3rd there will be voting at Northeast for the State Primary Election. Voters will enter the school through the Gym doors and voting will take place in the Gym. This also impacts our already challenging parking situation as we are obligated to reserve voter parking spots. Please remember that there is no parent/guardian parking in the school parking lot. If you are driving your child for their first day of Kindergarten or PreK, please park on Warwick and walk up to the school.
It is supposed to be a beautiful day tomorrow for the arrival of our youngest learners! We are looking forward to having all students in the school this week!
Have a great evening!

NORTHEAST TRAFFIC PATTERNS AND SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL
Last year, we were fortunate to partner with the Massachusetts Safe Routes to School Program to ensure our arrival and dismissal procedures are safe and efficient for students, staff, and families.
For traffic patterns, please see the document they produced:
Safe Routes to School Arrival & Dismissal Circulation Plan
Note: What they refer to as "Family Drop Off" we call "Kiss and Ride" at arrival and "Parent Pick Up" at dismissal.
WPS 2024-2025 SCHOOL BUS ROUTES
The WPS Transportation Department has released the 2024-2025 School Bus Routes. Be sure to scroll down to Northeast to view our bus routes and the time to be at your bus stop.
WPS 2024-2025 School Bus Routes
At Northeast we ask all students to review our Northeast 2024-2025 School Bus Contract together as a family, even students who don't ride the bus daily as everyone will eventually ride a school bus when there is a field trip. After reviewing the contract together, we ask that students and their adult sign the contract and return it to school. Our expectation is that all students follow the rules of the school bus in order to ensure that all students feel safe and are safe riding to and from school each day.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
Here are the suggested school supplies for each grade level. If you are unable to provide school supplies, they will be provided for your child!
