9/3/24 OG NEWS
September 3, 2024
I hope you all had a wonderful extended weekend and are feeling rested and ready for the week ahead. As a reminder, we have iReady testing for grades 2 through 8 and FastBridge testing for 1st grade this week. Please ensure student devices are charged and ready to go and that our learners are well-rested for their assessments. Your support at home makes a huge difference in their success! Take care, and we look forward to seeing everyone soon.

Thank you to everyone who participated in a focus group and completed the online survey. IASB will present its findings at a special Board meeting this Wednesday, September 4, at 6:00 pm in the JH Cafe. This meeting is open to the public and will be streamed.

Clubs
We encourage all of our students to get involved in extracurricular activities. Here is a slideshow with information regarding all of the clubs offered at OGS. If you have an inquiry or need further information, please reach out to the staff member listed on that club’s slide for additional information.
Soaring Eagles!
Our Soaring Eagles Team is dedicated to inspiring students through monthly themes and blue ticket rewards for demonstrating positive behaviors like empathy and communication. At the end of each month, we draw two blue ticket winners from each K-5 classroom, and middle school students can shop at the school store run by our student council.
You can help by donating prizes or gift cards for our raffles. If you have items or would like to contribute, please contact skiefer@ogschool.org. Last year, generous PTO support allowed us to offer gift cards to places in Libertyville, such as Chipotle and Starbucks, as well as bigger prizes like Sox and Cubs game tickets. Any donation between $10-$50 would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support!
