We hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break! This week, we’re buzzing with excitement as we begin our grade level spelling bees! We know that each child will do their best and we are cheering on all of our participating Wiz Kids.
As we prepare for the holiday season, please consider supporting our Holiday Magic program by donating gift cards. These donations help brighten the holidays for families in our school community. Keep reading for more information!
Lastly, a quick reminder that Picture Make-Up Day is coming up on Thursday, December 5. If your child missed the original picture day or would like a retake, this is the perfect opportunity!

Check the Lost and Found! 🧥👟🎒
Our Lost and Found is overflowing with jackets, water bottles, lunchboxes, and more! If your child is missing something, please remind them to check the Lost and Found, located by the cafeteria. Items not claimed will be donated in the coming months. Let’s work together to reunite these items with their owners!
Bus Transportation Reminder 🚌
Parents, please be aware that if a student does not use their assigned bus stop for 10 consecutive days, they will be removed from the bus route. This means the stop will no longer be visible on the Here Comes the Bus app. To reestablish transportation, parents will need to reapply through the WCPSS Transportation Website.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Ratley at jratley@wcpss.net or 919-856-7960. Thank you for helping us ensure smooth and efficient transportation services!
Spread Holiday Magic ✨
Every year, our Washington community comes together to create Holiday Magic for our students and families in need. This year, the need is greater than ever, and we’re asking for your help to ensure all families can experience the joy of the season.
We are requesting gift cards in $25 increments to support our families. If you are able to contribute, please sign up using the Sign Up Genius. Parents can bring their gift cards directly to school or students can bring gift cards in a labeled envelope or bag to the main office. They can be placed in the PTA Box and will be distributed by our Student Support Services team to families in need before winter break.
Thank you for helping us make the season brighter for everyone!
