Garden Club
West Seneca East Senior's Garden Club proudly brought back our Holiday Tree Extravaganza! The Garden Club collected over 25+ well loved Christmas trees and set them up in the main hallway of the building. Each tree was claimed by various departments, clubs and groups within ESR to decorate in their own theme. NHS even brought back their giving tree to surprise lucky East students at random with gift cards!
Polar Plunge
On Friday, Dec. 6th, the members of our Polar Plunge team were Freezin’ for a Reason and braved 44 degree white capped Lake Erie in 27 degree temperatures (18 degree wind chill). They took a dip for NYS Special Olympics! Everyone dipped at least to their waist (except Mrs. Rappold who was a bit of a chicken and only went in to her ankles!).
Together along with the School-to-Work classes they raised $1,641 for NYS Special Olympics!
If you are interested in joining the Polar Plunge team for next season, please see Mrs. Rappold in room 111.
National Honor Society
Our National Honor Society sponsored the NHS Giving Tree once again! Faculty members, students and families grabbed an ornament and purchased a gift card. National Honor Society Advisors, Ms. Clar and Mrs Page, randomly distributed the gift cards to our students as a surprise holiday gift!

Athletic Footwear Donation Fundraiser
The Class of 208 is collecting sneakers and cleats in January for our athletic footwear fundraiser. We will be sending them to GotSneakers who cleans and fixes them and will even provide new laces and insoles, if needed and then get them in the hands of people in need.
In return, our Freshman class will earn a donation for each pair received. Please consider donating your used sneakers and cleats that are free from holes. A bin will be located outside room 100 in January. Thank you!
Bison Ticket Fundraiser
Our Freshman Class is selling Buffalo Bison Tickets! Tickets are $15 each and are good for any regular season home game except the July 3rd BPO game. They make great stocking stuffers!
Payment is cash or checks made payable to WSCS 128.ES. Send payment to Mrs. Wojciechowski in Room 100 at East Senior. Tickets can be sent home with your student or picked up Tuesday through Thursday from 1:45 p.m.-2:30 p.m. in room 100 at East Senior. The sale runs through May 1, 2025.

Busy Sharing Their Musical Talents
The Music Department has been very busy spreading cheer all around town! We started the season with a performance of holiday tunes at Glenwell with a small string ensemble. Next, members from the Orchestra, Chamber Chorus, and Band performed at the Niagara Falls Culinary Institute. They had the opportunity to explore the building and ended the day with cookie decorating! The annual Holiday Concert included performances by the Jazz Band, Concert Chorus, Chamber Chorus, Orchestra, Crazy Guys of Ebenezer, Concert Band and Guitar Ensemble. Our Chamber Chorus and Orchestra (seniors) had their annual performance at Roswell Park. It has been such a wonderful experience sharing our student's musical talents!
New Murals
Remember, in the fall we shared that the ALC PIG class took a walking tour of downtown Buffalo to see the many murals the city has to offer? They took a deep dive into the city's art work to find inspiration for their positivity mural wall and here are just a few of their results!
Orchestra Performance
As part of Matt Martin's PIG project, select members of our Orchestra performed for the residents of Glenwell Senior Living Community. The residents made sure our musicians knew that they made their week?
