Smiler News
This Week at Pineville Elementary
Message from Mr. French
Good Morning Smiler Families,
We are so close to the end of the year! As we wrap up the year, we have EOGs for our third through fifth graders, field days, Heritage Day and 5th grade graduation. We look forward to seeing how our students do on their tests and can't wait to celebrate the end of the year with all of you.
We can really use your help getting your students ready for their end of grade tests. Check out tips below. The biggest thing we can do for them right now is give them confidence. The more that they know we believe in them and are here for them, the better they will believe in themselves. Help our kids this week to feel your support with encouraging messages. Also, let's make sure they sleep and eat well!

Heritage Day Information
We are so excited for this year’s Heritage Day on June 7th. Heritage Day is a special event at Pineville that allows us to celebrate the diversity of our culture. Families are welcome and encouraged to also come for a school-wide picnic.
The first event is at 8:30. This is a school-wide assembly. Parents are welcome; however, the big event is the family picnic at 11:30.
Please fill out this form to RSVP. In the form, you will be able to indicate whether your child will need cafeteria meals and who will be attending. In addition, the form will let you state whether your child will be going home with you after. Children will only be released early if this form is filled out. We ask that you please sign your child out with their teacher at the beginning of the picnic lunch. Please bring your ID.
If you are planning on attending, we really encourage you to bring sunscreen, blankets, hats, and water. If you have any questions, please let us know.
