GIRLS GO TO COLLEGE EVENT
Some of our GHS students enjoyed attending the annual Teen Girls Go to College event hosted by the Schliemann Center of Baxter Health at ASUMH. The girls learned about situational awareness, self defense, completed a campus tour and explored various career opportunities. Our very own Laney Suter was even a scholarship recipient!
HS ENGLISH

KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten celebrated the 100th day of school! We did everything the one hundred way!! One hundred Hershey kisses hunt, fruit loop necklaces, snacks, writing about being 100 years old and popping balloons to end our celebration!! Fun was had by all!
1ST GRADE
First Grade has been busy celebrating the 100th day of school and Dr. Seuss’ Birthday. We have read many Dr. Seuss books, completed activities to go along with the books and even ate green eggs and ham!
2ND GRADE
Second grade students had a blast learning all about plants! We started our hydroponics project explaining how those plants will have everything they need to survive. Then, we planted grass seeds and made houses along with yards to have hands-on experience learning about what a plant needs to survive and tending to their plants. Students also learned how seeds are dispersed through wind and water. Plant care is something these students will always remember.
3RD GRADE
Third grade has implemented our rocket ship for multiplication. At the end of the year, each student can earn prizes when they watch a movie. Mrs. Miller is a great artist and created our rocket ship.
For the last two weeks, students have worked on their benchmark testing. In reading our students have been working on themes, making connections, and comparing and contrasting. In math, we are working on fractions, multiplication, and area. Grammar includes looking at, creating, and identifying adjectives in reading and writing. In Social Studies, students learn about themes of geography by using physical and human characteristics. Science is a big hit with our third graders because of all the fun hands-on experiments. Students experimented with balloon-powered cars for a deeper understanding of Newton’s three laws of motion.
4TH GRADE
March is definitely coming in like a lion. Students are working very hard to master the skills that will be needed for MAP testing. We have completed our unit on fractions and are getting ready to start our last unit on Geometry and Measurement.
In science we have been learning about rocks. We have also been learning how to tell how environments have changed overtime by investigating different rock layers. We have looked at the different layers and determined what type of environment it was by the fossils in each layer.
5TH GRADE
Valentine's Day festivities in the 5th grade!
6TH GRADE
Sixth graders have been working hard on their first 5 paragraph research paper. Each student read a “Who is…?” or “Who was…” book on an important person of history. They then conducted research on that person, and wrote their research paper. To accompany their presentations, they each worked hard on creating a bottle buddy representation of that person. Check out all the hard work they showed on these awesome projects!
