Homestead HABIT Houses!
SAVANT, JUNBI, TAFAKARI, UMUSA, LAULIMA
Each house directly ties to our five habits of character: Academics, Attitude, Behavior & Pride, Kindness, and Teamwork. The uniqueness of each house lies within the character traits of our habits. We are beginning to do our part by looking in the mirror; we are owning it by walking through the door. We know our hearts are in the house when we treat others the way we want to be treated.
First and Best!

Data Highlights
- Average Daily Attendance 90.4%, encourage continued growth here.
- It is incredibly important to come to school!
- We are focusing on reducing suspensions through consistent high expectations for scholars using our five habits. Currently we are down 32% from last year.
Reminders
- Families should make sure that they have access to Class Dojo and Jumprope (grades). If they do not have access to one of these, they need to contact their scholars educators.
- Families should have an use PikMyKid to determine scholar dismissal. It is on families to update this information daily.
- No dismissal changes will be be made after 3:00pm each day.
- The building opens at 8:00am. Please do not drop your children off prior to this time. Dropoff is between 8-830am. Dropping scholars off earlier creates a situation where scholars are not monitored and this is unsafe.
- We will have two house competitions this month. The academic challenge is an egg drop competition (briefly explain the fun that scholars will participate in). The second challenges is DOLLAR WARS. Dollars subtract 100 points from whomever the scholar decides. 5, 10, and 20 dollar bills add 500, 1000, or 2000 points to their own team.
Enrichment Groups (3-8)- creating childrens books this month!
