This year has been an incredible journey of growth, achievement, and meaningful moments. We've witnessed resilience, innovation, and the power of collaboration. Every step taken and goal reached has been a testament to the dedication and spirit of everyone involved. Here's to reflecting on this year's successes and looking ahead with optimism and excitement for what the future holds! Below are some of the highlights from 2024.

• JISD grew by 500 students from the end of the 2023 - 24 school year

• District exceeded Region and State in End of Course state testing

• 54% of students from the Class of 2024 earned an Industry Based Certification

• 20% increase in graduates who were College, Career, or Military Readiness from the 2023 school year, exceeding the Lone Star Governance Goal

• The district is expanding its dual credit courses, allowing students to earn up to 42 college credit hours

• Five FFA Ag Mechanic students competed in the Tiger Tough Welding Contest, winning $7,500 in scholarships

• The district earned a Superior Rating and was awarded an "A" by the prestigious School Financial Integrity Ratings System of Texas (FIRST) for financial accountability to taxpayers

• Jarrell ISD partnered with the Teacher Incentive Allotment, allowing teachers to earn additional compensation

• The district finished all the 2021 Bond Projects a year ahead of schedule and within budget

• The school board voted to name Elementary School #4 Berry Creek Elementary and broke ground in November 2024

• JHS Dance Team won second place in the state competition

• UIL JHS Theatrical Design won second place in the State

• Students at Jarrell Elementary, Igo Elementary, and Double Creek Elementary won multiple awards and medals for their UIL competitions

• Marching Band won Sweepstakes in the UIL competition

• Jarrell High School Fishing Team advanced to State for the second year in a row

• Lady Cougar Track Team are district champs in the 4x200m and set a new school record 1:44.89
