Byrd Parent Group (BPG)

The Byrd Parent Group, or BPG, is made up of many parents, grandparents, and caregivers who work together to support the best educational environment possible for our kids. We know life is hectic, so this supportive group understands that we all do what we can! There is no obligation to attend meetings or sign up for events. There is no fee to join! We hope you will consider joining the BPG.

If you are interested in getting involved with the BPG and supporting the school experience for our kids, then please join the BPG by completing the Google Form on THIS LINK!

Meetings are typically held the 1st Monday of each month. Our next meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 8th at 6:30! We meet in the Byrd library, or you can join virtually using the link: meet.google.com/fhf-betx-egz

September is Attendance Awareness Month

September is ATTENDANCE AWARENESS MONTH! To celebrate, we are starting a school-wide attendance contest and having an Attendance Spirit Week this month!

BES Spirit Wear

Make sure to order your BES spirit wear by September 13th! There are lots of options, and students may want to wear BES gear on spirit day! Each purchase supports our school!

Join Girls on the Run (3rd-5th Grade)

Girls on the Run registration for girls grades 3-5 is still open. If there are any questions, please contact Ms. Donovan or Ms. Thompson.

Helpful Links & Info

Please notify the office about transportation changes via email at beseagles@glnd.k12.va.us. If you have daily transportation needs, please make sure you provide changes at the beginning of each week for the entire week. Please make sure you have all transportation changes in prior to 1:00 PM, this allows staff time to communicate all necessary changes and avoids confusion when a call is not received. We appreciate your support.

Parents who wish to chaperone a field trip or volunteer regularly in our school must submit to a background check every 2 years using the BIB portal. The process is completely electronic. If you are having problems with the system, contact Demetra Harris at dharris@glnd.k12.va.us.
