The season of giving and celebration is here, and we have several exciting opportunities to connect and support our community!
Holiday Magic Program
Every year, our Washington family comes together to create Holiday Magic for students and families in needāand this year, the need is greater than ever.
We are requesting $25 gift cards to Target, Walmart, or Amazon to support our families. If youāre able to contribute, please sign up using the SignUpGenius here.
All gift card contributions are due by Friday, December 13.
PTA Staff Cookie Exchange
Help us give our amazing staff a festive and tasty send-off for winter break! You can support this effort by donating cookies, supplies, or your time.š
You can:
- Bake or buy cookies (store-bought cookies must remain in original packaging).
- Bring cookies or supplies during PM carpool on Dec 19 or AM carpool on Dec 20.

Winter Orchestra Concert
We are looking forward to our Winter Orchestra Concert this Thursday at 6:30 PM! Come enjoy the sounds of the season and support our talented student musicians.
WES Family Night Out at Trophy Pizza
Make it a night out before or after the concert! Join us for a fun WES Family Night Out at Trophy Pizza (827 W Morgan St, Raleigh, NC 27603) on Thursday, December 12! Stop by anytime between 5:00-9:00 PM to enjoy delicious pizza while supporting our school. Trophy Pizza is generously donating 10% of sales during this time to benefit WES.

Meet Ms. Dittmann!
Bio: Hi! My name is Abby Dittmann and I am ecstatic to dive into my first year teaching in 3rd grade at Washington. I was born and raised in Raleigh and have gone to Wake County Public schools my whole life. I recently graduated from Meredith College with my Bachelor of Science in Child Development and also gained my K-6 Teaching license. I enjoy playing pickleball with my friends, going out for sushi, and taking my family dog, Macon, on walks! I can't wait for this year and am so excited to be at Washington!

Spread Holiday Magic āØ
Every year, our Washington community comes together to create Holiday Magic for our students and families in need. This year, the need is greater than ever, and weāre asking for your help to ensure all families can experience the joy of the season.
We are requesting gift cards in $25 increments to support our families. If you are able to contribute, please sign up using the Sign Up Genius. Parents can bring their gift cards directly to school or students can bring gift cards in a labeled envelope or bag to the main office. They can be placed in the PTA Box and will be distributed by our Student Support Services team to families in need before winter break.

Wake County PTA has announced the county-level results for the PTA Reflections Contest! Winners from each division and category will advance to the state-level competition. This year, weāre thrilled to celebrate our students who received honorable mentions and runner-up awards. Congratulations to the following students:
