πππ Help Save our Earth πππ
From now until May 31, we encourage students to do as many activities as they can to celebrate and care for our earth. Each time they do an activity, they cross it off on their bingo board. Parents sign it and submit it to your child's teacher by Friday, May 31.
Students can do arts activities such as writing a short story or a poem, making a nature collage or a recycled sculpture. They can also do things to save water and energy in your home such as turning off the faucet when they brush their teeth, take shorter showers and turn off electronics when they're not using them.
They can help clean up our earth by bringing plastic gloves and a trash bag on the next nature walk or beach trip. We encourage them to walk or bike to school instead of driving.
All students who participate will receive a special pencil.
Students who complete 5 or more activities will be entered to win a Nonaβs gift card.
The class with the most entries will win an art activity planned and organized by the students in Mrs. Willisonβs class!
Help the students in 4W care for our earth!
Camp Invention is canceled for Summer 2024
I regret to inform you that after careful consideration, Camp Invention at South School has been cancelled this summer due to low enrollment.
I understand that this change in plans may cause significant inconvenience for you. I want to express how disappointed we are by this turn of events.
If you have registered your child and sent in a check, I will be contacting you directly over the next week to confirm how you would like me to return your check. Please reach out to sheinlein@hinghamschools.org if you have any further questions.
I look forward to organizing Camp Invention next summer and hosting it back at the new Foster School in summer of 2025!
Thank you
Stacy Heinlein
