NEW ALBANY PRIMARY SCHOOL
March 10, 2025
Dear Primary Families,
Hello Families! March is bursting with excitement! Our students recently concluded a fantastic 'Drumming Residency' with Mr. Diomande. Through this residency, they had the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of rhythm, learn traditional drumming techniques, and develop their coordination and listening skills. A huge thank you to Mr. Diomande and the McCoy Board! Next week, our first graders will enchant us with their "Carnival of the Animals" performances—a must-see blend of music, poetry, and dance. We're also thrilled for SpringFest, our PTO event on March 15th from 3-5 pm. Finally, a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support during spring conferences; your generosity and partnership are deeply appreciated.
PARENT INPUT FORMS FOR 2025-2026 CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS
If your child is currently in grades kindergarten to fifth, and you want to provide information about your child prior to classroom assignments being made for next school year, you can submit a parent input form by March 24, 2025. You can find the online form by clicking here. The parent input forms will be used by the principals to help guide their classroom placements for the 2025-2026 school year.
EAGLE’S NEST REGISTRATION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR BEGINS APRIL 10
Student registration for the 2025-2026 Eagle's Nest Child Care program will begin on Thursday, April 10. Please visit the Eagle’s Nest website for more details.
OHIO STATE TESTS FOR THIRD GRADE STUDENTS
Third grade students will take the Ohio State Test for English Language Arts on April 15 and 17, and the test for Mathematics on April 22 and 24. Please avoid appointments or absences on those days.
STUDENT ABSENCES
Spring Recess is right around the corner! The last day for students is Friday, March 21 and school resumes Tuesday, April 1. If your child will be missing any school days outside that window, please be sure to complete a Pre-Planned Absence form and turn it in to the school office.
VISITORS AT LUNCH
Parents who wish to have lunch with their child must contact the school office at least one day in advance, as seating for visitors is limited. If someone other than a parent (such as a grandparent) would like to join a student for lunch, we still ask that the parent call to make the reservation. Due to space constraints, we kindly ask that visitors enjoy lunch with their child only.
LUNCHTIME UPDATE
Hamburgers, pizza, corn dogs, OH MY! Back by popular demand in the cafeteria is the opportunity for students to purchase an additional entree. Whether they've worked up a big appetite or simply love the chef's selection, students may now purchase an additional entree item if they are still hungry after finishing their first! The kitchen staff will prepare a number of extra entree items each day and will offer these items to the students on a first come, first served basis.
Regular Lunch Price: $2.50
Additional Entree Price: $2.00
To check your student’s account balance or add money to your student’s account, please go to www.payschoolscentral.com.
LOST & FOUND
Parents are always welcome to look for lost items when they visit NAPS. Please remind students to collect items as they come in from recess, and to look in the lost and found if something is missing. We sort items weekly and return them to students if items are labeled. Items that remain unclaimed at the end of the school year will be donated to charity.
