Worth Knowing
A newsletter from the Worthington School District
π Grateful For Worthington
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to reflect on the many reasons we have to be grateful in Worthington City Schools.
First and foremost, I want to recognize the incredible dedication of our staff members. From the teachers who inspire and challenge our students every day, to our custodial teams who ensure our schools are safe and welcoming, to the bus drivers, food service workers, support staff, and administrators who keep everything running smoothlyβyour commitment to our students and families is unmatched. You play a vital role in shaping futures, and for that, we are deeply thankful.
I also want to express my gratitude to our Worthington community. Your unwavering support, whether through volunteering in classrooms, attending school events, mentoring students, or approving levies that fund critical facility improvements, makes all the difference. By investing your time and resources, you have demonstrated a steadfast belief in the power of education and the potential of every child.
As a district, we are fortunate to have such strong partnerships with our families and community members. Together, weβve created a learning environment where students can become confident communicators, critical thinkers, adaptable leaders, responsible collaborators and resilient learners.
Your encouragement and collaboration allow us to innovate and grow, ensuring that Worthington remains a place where every student can reach their full potential.
As you gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, I hope youβll take time to rest, recharge, and reflect on the many blessings in your lives. Please know that you are a vital part of what makes our schools and community special.
Thank you for being part of the Worthington Schools family. Have a restful and joy filled Thanksgiving week. Go Buckeyes!

π¦ Five-Year Forecast
The Treasurerβs Five-Year Forecast was approved Monday night at the Worthington Board of Education meeting. The document is submitted twice annually, with November serving as the baseline for the new school year and an update in May.
The forecast serves as a long-range planning tool for the districtsβ programs and offerings.
With the approval this year, the district is announcing that we will move to a free All-Day Kindergarten program for the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
Learn more about the All-Day Kindergarten plan in this recent blog post.

The Library staff is currently in the process of assessing all of their facilities to determine what the community wants and needs from them in the future. Input from district families is crucial to this process.
