Dear Sagebrush Elementary Families,

Thank you so much for such a smooth transition back into school. It has been a great beginning to the school year and I cannot wait to see all that this year has to bring.

During our Community Gatherings this week, we have been focused on the theme of respect. We have talked about what it means to respect people, things, and places. The discussions included how to be a good friend, how to take care of classroom materials and our building as a whole. Students have done a great job. Every gathering includes our student pledge:

-At Sagebrush, I am loved and supported through a united community.

• l will work, learn and take chances to be successful.
• Sometimes things are hard, and I can do hard things.

My sincere hope is that students take these words to heart as they say them each day. Sagebrush is a supportive, loving community. Our students will work hard and be successful.

To assist in dismissal each day, please do not have any kids playing on the playground. The playground will be closed every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:45 - 3 PM. The playground will be closed every Wednesday from 1:45 - 2 PM.

Once all students being dismissed are reunited with their guardians, the playground can be used.

We appreciate your help.

Pre-school hours are the same every Monday through Thursday.

For grades K - 5, every Wedensday, dismissal time is 1:45 PM.

Please set a reminder on your phone, calendar or other device as a reminder.

Severe Needs Para Educators (Pay Range 6)

Job Description: Under the guidance of special education teachers, assist students with severe special education needs by helping individuals or small groups with their learning tasks, skills and behavior strategies.

Duties Include:

• Assisting students with classroom and center based skills and activities

• Modeling and reinforcing appropriate behavior strategies

• Supervising identified students at lunch, recess, and specials

• Assisting staff with paperwork, data collection, and documentation

• Providing for physical and emotional accommodations for individual students as needed.

Extended Child Services (ECS) is excited to offer Preschool Enrichment!

Preschool Enrichment is an optional, fee-based childcare program providing a quality experience for the other half of the Pre-Kindergarten day!

These programs operate Monday-Thursday, 8:00-2:45. Lunch is included!

These programs are first come, first served and space is limited!

Preschool Enrichment enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is OPEN!!!!

Your child must be enrolled with Cherry Creek Schools and 4-years old by October 1, 2024 to participate in the enrollment process.

We have a new name! A big shout out to the V.O.I.C.E.S. of Color Steering Committee (previously P.A.S.S), who have done some great work over the past year! We are excited about the new name change, which grew out of the community voicing the need for a new name and re-envisioning what support looks like each and every day for students across Cherry Creek School District! Keep your eye out in the coming months on events and information!

District V.O.I.C.E.S. of Color engages community members in meaningful and effective partnerships that lead to positive outcomes for all students, but more specifically, students of color.
