Hispanic Heritage Month!
Sun, Sep 15, 2024 – Tue, Oct 15, 2024
Lincoln Families,
As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, we are excited to celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of the Hispanic and Latinx communities. At Lincoln Middle School, we believe in honoring the diversity that makes our school so vibrant and inclusive.
Throughout the month, we will be engaging students in activities and lessons that recognize the achievements and cultural heritage of Hispanic and Latinx individuals, both past and present. We encourage families to join us in celebrating and learning more about this important part of our shared history.
Thank you for your continued support!

Back to School Night!
Thank you!
Thank you to all the parents and guardians who attended this week’s Back to School Night! It was wonderful to see so many of you engaging with our teachers and learning more about your child’s school experience.

Weekend Bag Program
We're here to support!
The Weekend Bag Program (WeB) can provide SMMUSD students with nutritious, easy-to- prepare bags of food containing 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches and 2 snacks for the weekends. The Weekend Bag Program is available to serve to all SMMUSD students. Student names are not identified to Weekend Bag Program volunteers to ensure participant privacy. Reusable plastic bags are packed by volunteers with enough shelf-stable food (including UHT milk) for breakfast, lunch and snacks for two days. Participating students pick up the food bags, usually from the school office, and stick them in their backpacks after school on Fridays. The menus have been evaluated by a dietitian to meet federal school nutrition standards and provide a balance of healthy, nutritious non-perishable foods. Families wishing to enroll their students should contact our school’s Bilingual Community Liaison, Nallely Gutierrez, n.gutierrez@smmusd.org, 310 393-9227 x73105 and fill out a Program opt-in form.

Traffic at Dismissal
Please respect traffic laws
For the safety of our students, staff, and community, we kindly remind all parents and guardians to follow all traffic laws during dismissal. Please avoid double parking, blocking driveways, or making U-turns near the school. These actions create unsafe conditions and disrupt the flow of traffic.
Let’s work together to ensure a safe and smooth dismissal process for everyone. Thank you for your cooperation and attention to this important matter!
