PICTURES & NEWS
TRAVELERS 1ST GRADE LITERACY
After reading three short stories to the students, Ms. Culligan had them complete a venn diagram of the commonalities between the stories. The kids were really good at noticing where the stories differed and where they shared similar elements. This task was followed by individual assessments with Ms. Culligan, group reading with one of the education assistants or individual literacy work on computers.
RENAISSANCE 7TH GRADE MATH
Cloth measuring tapes were used to determine the circumference and diameters of various canned goods. That data was placed on a graph to help students begin to understand the mathematical concept of Pi. Most students worked in pairs while others worked individually. Mr. Lovelette and Mr. Rouleau guided them through the learning exercise.
EXPLORERS 2ND GRADE MATH
